  • In 2009-2010 West Virginia used the West Virginia Educational Standards Test 2 (WESTEST) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in reading/language arts, math and science, and grades 3 through 8 in social studies.
  • The WESTEST is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills needed to progress through school.
