School Official Point of View

We believe the best way to really get to know FCA is to visit our school! During the school year, personal tours may be scheduled Monday-Friday on school days. In the summer, personal tours are offered Monday-Thursday during business hours.Tours are designed to give you answers to your specific questions about education at FCA, while doing a walk-through of the campus. Many times, our school administrators are available during your visit to meet with you as well.

Both my children graduated from FCA and they started there in middle school. There is no perfect school, but this school was great in preparing my children for further education. I love that all the curriculum is Bible based. My children came out of FCHS with a firm foundation in their Christianity, ready to tackle the real world!

Faith Christian Academy has been an answer to my prayers. My kids had always been in Christian school, and when we needed to find a new school in 2008, I knew that FCA was my first choice (only choice really). Their reputation for spiritual formation, academic excellence, and extracurricular opportunites has always been top-notch. I have not been disappointed. My kids have thrived here. My daughter graduated last year, and has gone on to a competitive Christian college in California, she never missed a beat. She was excellently prepared for college, she carried 25 credits with her due to the dual credit courses available at the high school and has every reasonable expectation of completing college in 3 years! My sons (one now in Middle School and the other in Elementary School) have done well academically, they have been challenged, and have both found their "place" in school. The teachers have been great, demanding excellence, yet gracious and loving. My boys have been encouraged and embraced here. Most importantly, Faith supports and bolsters their spiritual life. I know that what I'm teaching them at home they are getting reinforced at school. I enthusiastically recommend FCA.

This is our first year with FCA. My family just moved here from MN and this has to be by far the WORST school experience we have had. The lack of communication from all staff is ridiculous! They just assume that you know how and what to do. Plus her 2nd grade teacher is the worst i've seen since i was in school and I went to public school. I have noticed so many errors in her teachers grammar, things the children need to do for homework, etc. I understand giving children homework and challenging them, and I'm fine with that. But when it's to the point when as soon as i get home till the time for bed my daughter is doing homework. She's only 2nd grade!! She has math homework every day but they make the parents check to make sure they did it right, well obviously they are going to get the answers right. The projects they make them do is another story! They to study an item then write on note cards for their speech they needed to do in front of class, and if they didn't have good eye contact, they got docked points. I will not be sending my child back there next year. What a waste of money. We are looking into either Denver Christian or Cherry Hills Village.

It has been 4 years now since our last child graduated from FCA. I will tell you that FCA was not easy for my children, lots of homework, teachers that expected your best work on every assignment, accountability, respect . . . Yes, they begged me to let them go to public school because their friends did not have any homework, yet in college they both told me that they were always ready with the assignments and when in group projects they always knew what to do and how to get the project done, they were ready for college. But the true test of their FCA education is what I see now, they both are working in fields of their choice and they are leaders, they work hard, they know how to get it done, they are loyal employees and Godly people and for that I can say I am so thankful that we made the sacrifice to send our children to FCA.

Horrible school. They PRAISE the students there with easy to achieve awards. Do not send your kids or students there if you want them to go to a good college. The environment is great though! Loving God is one of the most noticeable things, and it's great to be able to carry a Bible around without getting in trouble. But for academics and sports? Not so great as the environment.

I have had 3 "children" graduate from Faith Christian Academy. One currently owns her own business, one manages a business, and one is graduating in the fall from college with honors. All of them had a strong academic base that prepared them for college, an excellent (but fun) athletic program, great experiences with fine arts programs, as well as opportunities in student leadership. All of this was in addition to a strong biblical foundation and teachers who cared about and prayed for them. I will be forever grateful for the role this school played in my children's lives.

Faith Christian Academy does a great job meetings student's mental, physical and spiritual needs. Over 95% of their graduates head on to college and are extremely well prepared. Many of the graduates enter the colleges of their choice with 15-30 college credits because of the dual college credit courses that Faith offers. Most of all I appreciate their wonderful staff members who effectively demonstrate what an authentic relationship with Jesus looks like through the course content that they teach as well as the way in which they interact with students.

We have had two grandchildren graduate from FCA. The Christian education surrounding the amazing academic standards presented by FCA's dedicated teachers have produced an excelent education that has enabled one to graduate with high honors from a Colorado university in elementary education and is now a teacher and the other to be a cadet at the Air Force Academy. The scores that the students at FCA attain on the standardized testing far surpass the Colorado and national scores. This is all accomplished by a staff and administration who have the best interests of the students in mind being led by the Holy Spirit.

Faith Christian Academy (FCA) Delivers Results! Our children transferred from a public school to FCA two years ago. They were struggling in the public school setting. Faith Christian Academy has been absolutely wonderful in several ways: Spiritual Development, Self Confidence, Academic Achievement, Accountability and Responsibility. This school holds our kids accountable and responsible for their school work, tests, etc. and as a result they all have made honor roll this past year. Academically, this school is very challenging and not a push over. This is proven out by the national test scores where FCA historically exceeds the national averages in all categories. Not just by a little, but by a significant margin. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a GREAT EDUCATION! We have never regretted our decision or the investment we are making in our children s future!

They call it "high standards", I called it discrimination. As for the "high academic grades" I can tell you Exactly how that happens: if the student turns in sub-par work or even missing work, they earn "redemption" slips and can turn them in to allow them to pass that assignment or bump up their grade. I personally tallied and averaged my child's grades - they were not nearly as high as what was recorded! As much as tuition is, the parent bears a huge amount of the burden as homework is excessive (to the point that the child does nothing after school but homework ) but the parent is given a math answer key and is required to grade the math homework thus the child turns in perfect math assignments each time. (How then does the teacher know what concept needs to be reviewed?) The text books are seriously outdated. After my child switched from FCA to a regular public school, I can tell you that they did not walk in with a "superior" education, they were not ahead of the class- as FCA will tell you at the beginning.

Great environment- they care about every student. Strong academics combined with character building and values. Each student is nurtured to excel. Elementary principal is outstanding and connected to the students.

The children receive a superior education in a warm, caring environment. All the teachers hold strong values and the children have a strong sense of what is right. The school also encourages children to volunteer in the community.

We love the school. A bright light, in our nation's apathetic malaise. Our daughter has attended all 3 years of Middle School, and just started High School this year. Outstanding staff, teachers, parents and students. Wouldn't trade it for anything. God's love exemplified.

My 2 children have been at Faith Christian since Kindergarten and are now in Jr. high and high school. Faith has challenged my boys to reach higher and to have great morals. If the goals aren't set high they won't stretch academically. The school also teaches honesty, character and morals on an everyday basis. My oldest is amazing at how much Bible he has retained which we also back up in our home and church. Faith has great music, drama and band programs also. Athletics are also exceptional at Faith teaching teamwork and respect.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
