The list of problems seems endless. There is no consistency in how admin handles behavior issues and the religious studies teachers are way too lenient with the students. Thus there is an abnormally high amount of behavior issues and teachers have a hard time getting things done due to these inconsistencies. And the BOARD...there is no one to hold them accountable for their actions and decisions...the school is falling apart and teachers make much much less than other public school teachers. The school is severely understaffed, staff unsupported, and there is no extra help. They talk but do much of NOTHING and none of them are educators of younger children so they do not know how to relate to teachers or students. They have their own agenda that they want passed and they have no regard for anyone else. They never go to teacher classrooms yet rely on the hearsay of their own children.

The reason why I gave it a one is because of the lack of organization- there is no stability- there is a lot of chaos- kids running around the hallways, loud, and crazy. I also gave it a one because the kids are not held accountable for their misbehavior and will get away with doing bad things. They talk during classes- they are rude to the teachers- and even worse, parents back them up. Maybe all these bad behaviors are caused because the students aren't offered any extracurricular activities- sports- and elective classes like art, music, drama, etc. Perhaps one day this school will be 5 stars- it needs more work.

WE LOVE CVA!!! Could not be happier with all 4 of my kid's progress! Very dedicated teachers and a family atmosphere!

We are relatively new to CVA. I have 2 boys currently attending CVA, 2nd and 3rd grade. We came from a Douglas County school in Highlands Ranch and I have to say... in just 3 months by oldest son is thriving and has improved academically more than he would've during a whole year at his old school. The smaller class sizes, the sense of community, the spirituality and the challenging work has been the answer we've been looking for. I'm positive that he will be testing out of his IEP soon due to his increase in confidence! I'm so happy that we made the switch and have never regretted it for 1 second!

CVA is an excellent school! The academic excellence is tops. The teachers care not only about education, but care for the individual child.

I have my three kids go to Crescent View Academy since they are in Kindergarten and now my son is in 7 grade. They always find away to improve the quality of education. I always encourage to all my friends to take their kids to Crescent View Academy. Keep up a good work to all teachers.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
