My daughter is currently a sophomore at this school and has had nothing but great experiences here. The IB Program is exceptional, and they have a ton of opportunities here. A lot of people worry about sending their kid to such a large school, but there are soooo many different groups and organizations along with every sport imaginable for them to fit in to. The teachers give the kids every opportunity to meet after school for study groups/reviews. The parents really work together to volunteer to make Cherokee trail a great school.

Principal only cares about sports - not music. It would be nice to have more support for the music department from the administration. Teachers are wonderful and supportive of their departments.

As with many of the recent posts, I can't say enough about CTHS - it's been great! My son will be graduating from the IB program this year, and has really benefited from the world view it presents. It also fosters involvment with extra-curricular activities, as well as community involvement. I'm proud of his accomplishments and proud of what CTHS has done to help him. I worked for the school district, and know first hand that some other schools continue to struggle, but at CTHS the students are in a caring environment where they are challenged to succeed - and do!

This school is amazing! I went here from 10th-12th grade. It's really easy to fit in with the great diversity in all the students. :) The sports are great too. Go cougars! -so much better than East High in Denver.

I'm a parent of a 12 grader, and had been at that school since 9th grade. We were from Michigan. And her grades was terrible and she was struggling. My daughter wanted to stay with her grandmother and it was during school year. To make the story short. She moved with her grandmother and went to Cherokee Trail High. Her grades has been improving. She is now bringing home A's & B's. I want to thank all her teachers and counselors for their support. Mrs. D. Schmidt, I would like to take this opportunity in writing also. Thank you very much for your guidiness.

My children transferred to Cherokee Trail form Grandview and it was the best decision we have ever made. The staff is very involved and helpful in all aspects of student life. The students are very polite and supportive and do not let stereotypes divide them. My children are ecstatic to go to school every morning. The school really involves the family and the community in all activities. This is by far the best school to send your children. Go Cougars!

I currently have a junior attending CTHS and his older brother graduated in 2007. I feel both have received an excellent education and high school experience. Teachers and Coaches both have been a wonderful influence on both my boys who run track and cross country. I highly recommend CTHS.

After one of two children graduated, it is more than obvious how political this school is, yes it is diversified, this graduation has reflected the who's who as in who is the richest and politically involved with its student Valedictorian's as well as other honors. My graduated child has maintained a 4.0 or better since 8th grade and during the ceremony, was selected for only one award. It is a shame that the taxes we pay living close to this school do not reflect benefits for everyone's child. I hope things will change for the better for our youngest now attending CTHS.

I love CTHS its a school full of opportunities some may say it lame or others may envy us but CTHS is a leader in our school district. All the faculty and staff creates a special bond with each student and they help you succeed no one is a failure and CTHS assures you that. This school is full of potential and of very talented and gifted people. Diversity is seen within the school making it easier for everyone to fit in. If I could change schools today I wouldn't because a school like CTHS I could never find.
