Educational philosophy and approach to learning AXL Academy's active-learning and expeditionary approach takes our scholars to the source to learn by experts in the field and become experts themselves. We are a progressive school that values the whole-child and have built in character education at every step. Instead of hearing lectures all day, our scholars are engaged and empowered through collaboration, the community mind-set and an integrated approach to learning.

Parent involvement details AXL Academy uses a multi-platform approach to keep all families in the know. Parents routinely hear directly from their scholar's teacher on Class DOJO, monthly meet-ups with the school leadership, a monthly newsletter, the state-of-the-art website, social media, text messaging, the school app and more! In addition, AXL has a robust P.E.A.K. (Parents, Educators And Kids) program to partner with our families for their scholar's education.
Approach to addressing and preventing bullying AXL believes all scholars deserve respect and we take an active role in addressing and preventing bullying. Our proactive approach intercedes with an established relationship with each scholar. No scholar goes unnoticed and we actively address any concerns whether bullying or behavioral. AXL Academy was also awarded the Safe Community Safe Schools grant beginning in 2017-18 for an increased social-emotional learning and data collection to prevent bullying.
