I finally had the courage to switch my child to Watershed from a private K-12 school in Lafayette (that, sadly, had bullying issues and a mean culture). We are SO HAPPY we made the move. She loves her new (kind, smart, and funny) friends at Watershed and her new teachers! No more memorizing and regurgitating. No more cliques, gossip, prank calls, name-calling and nonsense. She is growing here. She's learning here. And, she LOVES learning here. I highly recommend this school!

The Watershed School has a great program. Being an experiential school the kids are learning in and out of the classroom. This hands on learning is so valuable. The kids learn to think things through and support their opinions. The teachers are supportive and encouraging. The kids work in groups often amd have great social skills. We are thrilled our kids have the opportunity to go to Watershed.

This is an awesome school. My son left another private school in the area in the middle of the year because of the mean culture of the students at the school. He is thriving at this school. The students treat each other with respect and caring. The academic environment is excellent; it is not the usual sit at a desk and get lectured at. It encourages kids to look at the world around them and how they fit in. My son is filled with passion about the subjects he studies.

Community ratings and reviews do not represent the views of GreatSchools nor does GreatSchools check their accuracy or verify the reviewers' identities. Use your discretion when evaluating these reviews.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
