Zion Lutheran School has just been ranked in the top 8% in the NATION academically for the 2011/2012 school year. This ranking comes from their Iowa Basic Skills Test (ITBS) scores, a national standardized testing process. As a parent, we are glad that they take pride in taking nationally ranked testing instead of just being ranked by only Colorado standards. WAY TO GO ZION!
Our children came from the public school system, and were welcomed right away, and in no time fit right in. Academics are beyond compare - the children are challenged academically and spiritually. Class sizes are a big plus with approximately 20 students to a teacher, and the teachers are wonderful, caring and knowledgeable. Zion is our new family - we love it there!
When searching all "Brighton, CO" schools on this website, I found the highest ranking to be "7 out of 10" - only one public elementary school achieved it -all other schools scored "6" or below. This is why I send my children to Zion Lutheran School. Great environment academically, socially, and spiritually. If it weren't for Zion Lutheran School, I would move to a higher performing school district. The only drawback is that this school ends at 8th grade.
Students are challenged both educationally and spiritually!
As a parent of preschooler, I love setting and the feeling of safety that this school provides. There could be better organization in the office area but overall I am quite satisfied. My child will continue to attend Zion. While the school is Lutheran, we are not. However, the school not only teaches aspects of religion, it also emphasizes manners, morals, and ethics which seems to be in short supply.
This school rocks! The level of academic expectations exceeds anything I have seen. The teachers are concerned and caring and love what they do. I cannot say enough nice things about this school. One shortcoming, as with any private school, meeting the budget is always a concern.
