This school has a very open and understanding staff, student body, and surrounding community that makes this school one of the best places to get an education. There is a small number of students compared to other schools, allowing for more one on one interaction. The staff is very experienced and every one here including the head of the student body are very nice and understanding people. We just got a new building with unique architecture and very nice decor. I think that this would be a great place for student to get a great education academically, socially, and physically. ( not to mention that the volley ball team and the varsity soccer team just made it to states).
It is a great school with the best teachers
I have been going to Roaring Fork for 3 years now and i have begun to dislike it more and more. The pricipal is the old vice principal and is very skilled at his new job. I enjoy most of the teachers there. Some are new and others have been teaching for a while. I have learned a great deal from these and hope that they continue to teach at RFHS. The sports offerd at the school is varied from weights to tennis which gives many kids an opportunity to broaden their sports interests. RFHS is on the mediocre side but will suffice.
I have a just-graduated senior and a sophomore at this high school, and have resided in the community now for 18 years. I feel like my senior received an excellent education. He is now off to a top-rated private school, and I credit his teachers for their support. AP and College Level courses are available. The yearly art show is amazing for this small school. Sports, both girls/boys are extremely well supported by the community. The music programs are coming along from not having many. Parental involvement needs improvement - many parents work long hours/two jobs. This school is doing a good job of dealing with a large Hispanic population due to nearness of resorts/jobs. FOr a school of 315, I feel that a lot is offered.
Roaring Fork High School provides a quality learning environment. The teachers are wonderful and they do an excellent job teaching the students.
