This is our second year at PPCS. My son loves it. He wants to go to school everyday including Saturday and Sunday. He has learned so much here and we feel really blessed to have found this school.

This is our third year at PPCS. It is the most nurturing, well balanced, all around amazing school in Colorado. Our daughter is taught about the love of Jesus in everything she does. The teachers care about their students. The students are respectful of each other. I have nothing negative to say about this school.

Overall we are happy with the decision to switch our son over to PPCS. We were initially disappointed because the "advanced curriculum" that we were told was followed at PPCS is only in a classroom (not his). So in essence our son isn't actually learning anything new, academically. With that said we have still been happy with PPCS. His teacher is fantastic! She has been able to keep him involved and intrigued and she has been a help to his overall development. His social development is catching up to his academics and he enjoys school!! Each week his class has library, spanish, music, and computer (plus daily chapel). We wanted an environment for our son that fostered a love for God and for learning, and focused on the whole child (not just academics). Plus we needed to have a cooperative staff, but not push overs. PPCS has this environment. We feel the academics could be more rigorous, but we may be difficult to please in that category. There is "favoritism" as reviewers mentioned, but have seen it in every school I have observed. It is much less prevalent at PPCS than the other schools I have observed (high school and elementary).

This is our first year with PPCS. My son is in 10th grade and we have been very impressed! Wish we had found it sooner. We felt welcomed from the first minute we entered the school. One thing that is different than past schools is there seem to be numerous grading opportunities. His whole grade isn't riding on one test or a couple assignments. We both really like this. The teachers are really good at posting grades on their on-line service "GradeLink." They do it quicker and more often that we have found at other schools. It would be nice, if teachers could post upcoming assignments and tests for planning purposes, but this does not seem to be done often. I would highly recommend this school. I think their tuition is reasonable and the smaller class size and personalized attention is amazing! There are currently about 84 kids in high school.

I love Pikes Peak Christian because the teachers and staff are helpin us in the raising of our boys. The teachers are preparing our kids for college, living out an active faith before us, teaching the value of prayer and a close walk with Him. We are amazed at the change in discipline with our boys. They love school and they are loved by their teachers.

PPCS does have some good qualities, but favoritism and nepotism run wild. The "Christian" part should be replaced with private as attention to behavior and dress code is severely lacking. Our children attended for several years, but we no longer felt comfortable with the environment and the administration does not seem interested in listening or solving any problems.

I just graduated from PPCS this spring and I couldn't have asked for a better place to of spent these last four years. I've made some AMAZING friends whom I'm really going to miss. It was really nice haveing our daily chapels I definetely had people to always talk to when i had questions or doubts about my faith. Most of my favorite memories though happened during sports seasons. Our league is perfect giving everyone an opportunity to play but still being very competative. Don't let the 2A or 1A title fool you... there are still amazing players and incredible teams but we got the opportunity to pray together before and after each game. I love PPCS and would reccomend it to anyone. Thanks for all the memories and a great eductaion!!
Our daughter has been at PPCS for 2 years, as a 6th and 7th grader, and is an A/B student. She has loved it there, and we have been pleased with it as well. Her teachers have been great! The teachers are very open with the parents, and the principles are great as well! We plan on our daughter condinuing her education there through high school.

My son won't hear of attending another school! He loves the school, the teachers, the activities, and his friends. He states over and over again he never wants to go back to public school. I know he is learning, included, and happy. He is glad he can discuss God, the Bible, and his faith freely. I am very grateful for the school.

God has truly blessed my life. My teachers, peers and my family have been great examples of God s high calling for my life. I am so grateful that I have been able to attend PPCS!! I have prayed about becoming a dentist and serving in Africa or Guatemala with the talents God has given to me. I desire to minister to those who are extremely poverty stricken and perform dental procedures that will aid in overall better health. I desire to strengthen the human spirit by helping to heal physical ailments. I am so grateful to my HS teachers! Thank you!

We had 2 children enrolled at PPCS and pulled them out due to bullying issues. Our lower elementary daughter experienced sexual harassment and it became repeated. Neither the administration or the teacher took the necessary steps to make sure it stopped despite my communication to them re: what was happening. Our upper elementary child was harassed verbally by a group of girls. When I met with his teacher to discuss why this girl's behavior wasn't being addressed and I felt favoritism was to blame, the teacher admitted to that. In both instances, the bullies were children of either a staff member and/or church member.

I have four children at Pikes Peak Christian School. All four children love learning, have small class sizes, have good role models, and are growing spiritually. Three of my children play sports -- good conduct, Christian values, and basic sports skills are emphasized. The school doesn't have any frills-- there isn't enough money for a federally subsidized school lunch program (the start up expense of meeting the FDA requirements is prohibitive), the high school doesn't have a band, and parents are encouraged to volunteer. The students are grateful that their parents are willing to pay tuition, and understand the financial sacrifice. The teachers earn about half the salary of public school teachers-- the teachers are motivated to serve the student's individual needs, and the teachers feel led to teach in a private, Christian school. Pikes Peak Christian is an affordable, high quality school. We plan to never switch schools again.

My daughter has attended PPCS for 10 years, since starting pre-school at age 3. The class size is excellent, allowing teachers to focus on their students. The teachers care about each individual student and work to bring out strengths. The curriculum is challenging and my daughter has been ahead of peers in public schools. In Elementary School, the end-of-year awards program recognizes EVERY student for accomplishments. Middle school is proving to be a positive experience, with behavior and interpersonal challenges of the age group managed head-on in a loving and supportive manner. Parents are very involved in the school and are always welcome. Security is high, with controlled access. My daughter cannot imagine going to any other school, and I plan to keep her at PPCS through high school!

PPCS is a wonderful Christian school. My children have attended PPCS since preschool and are now all in high school or college. They have transitioned well into the college environment and were well prepared academically, emotionally and spiritually. While everything has not been sunshine and roses, the few conflicts we have had were resolved in a Christian atmosphere with my child's best interests in mind balanced with the school's mission. It is my understanding that PPCS has graduated students who now attend a number of colleges and universities, attend service academies, have joined the armed forces and enter the working world ready to lead. This year we have a graduate who is a National Merit Scholar Finalist. Long after my children all graduate from PPCS, this school will be dear to our family.

My children have attended PPCS for seven years, and overall, I am very pleased with the school. In the preschool and elementary years, I feel that my children have received an excellent education. They were reading in Kindergarten and due to the challenging elementary curriculum, have been about a year ahead of their friends who attend public school. The teachers are very caring, loving and have been a good example of Christ to my kids. They love school and have made many great friends. We love PPCS!

This has been our daughter's first year at PPSC; I've been pleasantly surprised. She's in one of the Pre-K programs and is already reading. The staff is always respectful and nice. Considering this is one of the least expensive Christian schools in the area I'm very happy. The lunch program is not that of a public school, no BUT I think it encourages parents to provide their children w/ healthy snacks rather than the school (or student) selecting their lunch. I love that it is truly Christ centered, as does my daughter. In my opinion, what counts is academics and Christian base curriculum. Keep it up PPSC!

I would like to start by saying that Pikes Peak Christian has been an absolute blessing for our family! We left public because of serios bullying problems as well as high teacher per student ratios. I have graduated a daughter from Pikes Peak Christian and is in her 2nd second year of college. Not only is she excelling academically she she plays a varsity sport. . It has been an amazing experience!!! Some of the comments posted are innacurate!!! The staff is caring and qualified, our childrens' success is proof of that. The sports program is run professionally and the children love it. The math and science program are NOT below standards, perhaps getting your facts straight before you comment would be in order. If you are looking for an amazing school full of caring, dedicated, fully qualified Christian people this is the place for you!! We welcome you!

This school is full of people who think they know everything. Not only are most of the staff bullies the teaching is unsatisfactory.

Teachers at PPCS are qualified, commited, hard-working and caring people who teach because they love what they do. I highly recommend PPCS.

My kids have been through the preschool and are now in elementary. We feel their education here is great. The small class sizes allow the teachers to really focus on each student. As a private school, they don't have to teach to the CSAP test like many Colorado schools do.
