I attended CMCA from 1st through 8th grade. I am a Senior now and have attended James Irwin Charter High School and William J. Palmer High School. I can honestly say that I have learned more and worked harder in that school than in either of my high schools. The education that I received there is invaluable. I was writing full thesis papers in 7th and 8th grade. The level of discipline that the staff maintains is also helpful to the learning environment. I could not be more pleased with my experience at CMCA. Because of my attendance there, I am ahead of my other classmates academically. I owe my academic acheivement to this school. Overall if you're looking for a great school with high academic standards, this is the school for you.
I am a student in this school's extension and Jr. High the Vanguard School. In my opinion this school does the teaching, but it reviews more than the other schools I have attended thereby cutting short the chance to learn something new. The test scores, as I have heard from my parents, are one of the highest in the state. I have learned honestly more in my fifth grade school than any other. The teachers and staff are of high tutelage and quality, but a small handful of students ruin my chance at academics and they are punished, but their continuous disruptive behavior seems to be uneffected by the punishments. Though all in all, this school and its faculty are of high quality; I would recommend this school to most kids, but for the more advanced students, I would say to look harder.
Excellent education. If you want your children to learn, this is the best school for them!
This school is truly amazing! Both my child and I are learning so much together. The teachers are exceptional and the discipline awesome. Eventhough the curriculum is very challenging my daughter has adapted well and loves the school.
My daughter has attended CMCA K-1st and we have been overall pleased with the quality of education. CMCA uses direct instruction teaching ('Core Knowledge'). A lot of emphasis is placed on memorization. Although the class average is about 25 kids/room, there are always 2 teachers in each class; they are split into smaller groups for reading, spelling and math so that they can excel at their own pace. The homework is a pretty full load and can be overwhelming at times. A few aides left mid-year, so unfortunately my daughter had several changes of teachers in some of her small groups. I was told this isn't the norm, but with CMCA expanding over the next few years I anticipate more growing pains like this (aides coming, then discovering this style isn't for them). My daughter adapted well, but I could see this being a downfall for children who don't like change.
This school is second to none! It is amazing to see these children learn years above their grade level and be so excited while doing it. The energy of the teachers is amazing and the parental involvement is definitely a welcome change from other schools.
CMCA is an amazing school. I don't know what else to say. The teachers are great and really care about the kids. The academic programs are good! It's all good.
Awesome! That is the one word to describe CMCA! The staff and faculty are there out of a labor of love and they genuinely want your child to succeed. My daughter enjoys school so very much and is reading at a 3rd grade level and she just finished kindergarten! I would recommend this school to anyone!
Incredible energy and excitement! My kids have really learned to write well and express themselves with confidence! CMCA has exceeded my greatest expectations!
Our child is receiving a super overall educational experience. The kids are learning an incredible amount and mastering the basics. In addition character development is also emphasized and seems to be effective.
An incredible school, academically challenging, teaching core learning and really is a superior school.
