Its fine if you don't care if your child is getting the support and help they need to be a successful student. Its difficult if your are transferring in from other school districts. They say they can met the needs of your students but it may take a whole school year for them to say ok we will identify your child as ____ but sorry they will not be receiving services at our school and then when you remove your child from the school the wonderful art teacher , Ms Leasure will give your child an F even though they had been getting As all year. My frustration level is boiling with this school. Ms Gohl, Ms Garcia are great but they are diamonds in an otherwise steaming pile of horse dung. Sorry but I shouldn't have to worry about my child hating their school so much but with teachers like ms leasure I can see why. The SOAR program is a joke.

One of the advantages is that the school is small enough to get to know everyone. I did not experience a bad environment with the kids, most of the teachers are good. A few of the teachers need a better attitude, but I guess that is anywhere. I like the fact that most teachers and admin staff know the kids by name.

Poor Environment for students. Not enough challenging work given out.

I have had a great exprierence with this school district up until this year. I feel as if the principal of this school and some of the staff aren't prepared to deal with the parents and the children. They expect the students to be 95% independent and responsible. I feel as if we are all treated as another number and not as an individual. I feel they discipline in the same manner and not on a situational basis. I am really disappointed. I was excited to see my child embark on this new journey into middle school but now it's just seems to be such a headache! Their is little communication unless I force their hand. I think they have good ideas they just need a user friendly approch and more of an individual approach.
