What a wonderful school! My children have flourished here, encouraged by caring and engaged teachers, a concerned and involved principal and a terrific support staff. The school offers strong academics coupled with strong Christian focus and character-building. Small classes allow for teachers and students to develop good relationships, while giving every child a place in the student community. This is the best choice we ever could have made for our children.

If you are looking for a strong liberal arts education along with exceptional math and science, look no farther than Denver Christian Schools (DCS). Our daughter recently entered the sixth grade at Van Dellen, after completing an HGT elementary program in Denver Public. She could not be happier. Classes are challenging, rigorous, and creative. The student body is accepting and welcoming. As well, there are numerous electives along with an infusion of the arts and athletics. DCS is well-run, organized and responsive to students and parents. We feel our daughter will be prepared for any high school program in the city including DCS.

My son has attended Van Dellen K-6 so far and the teachers, administration, community, and education is excellent! They really care about the students and about providing a Christ-centered education. This school is an excellent in preparing students for college and in critical thinking. Highly recommend!

The academic quality is very good at this private school. We received a very good educational experience here. There are programs in art, music, computers, physical education, band, as well as specilty classes available to the students. Extracurricular activities are limited to sports activities at the middle school level. Parents are very involved, it has a community feel to every activity. An excellent staff, with dedicated teachers at every grade level. The small class sizes allow for some individualized attention to every student.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
