Parent involvement details We have an excellent parent-involved community. Our Program Liaisons promote, select, and organize room parents. Room parents are then in charge of organizing room specific volunteers for any/all occasions including field trips and special events. Room parents support the class specific teachers and TAs as well as fund raise extra funding per specific class they are assigned to. Room parents are also responsible for advocating needs and addressing concerns with the Program Liaisons.

Neighborhood

Transportation details Transportation is only available out of two major locations where the majority of our families pool from. Currently, these two locations are the Park Hill and Stapleton neighborhoods. There are two campuses as well: DLS West (Kinder - 2nd) is located at 200 S University Boulevard, Denver CO 80209 and DLS East (3rd - 8th) is located at 451 Newport St, Denver CO 80220. Currently, there is a shuttle service from DLS West to DLS East but not from DLS East to DLS West.

Application/ enrollment process details SchoolChoice Enrollment - all students are required to apply via the DPS SchoolChoice process. Student applying to K-1st grades can be admitted without further due process. However, applicants for 2nd-8th grades will all be wait listed automatically and called per available seat.
