This school is a wonderful place to be. I have learned lots, liked all my teachers, enjoyed lots of exploritories. Escalante is a great place to have fun while learning. We go on lots of feild trips, and learn about lots of exciting things. You do lots of activites that help you get to know the other people in your grade, although the different grades are normally kept apart. The lunches are DELICOUS, and there is a lot of fun things to do. Sixth grade exploritories are pretty structured, but in 7th and 8th there is a lot more to choose from, though at least two tri's of PE are required. The only thing that I dont like is that the GT kids arent challenged really at all. There is some, but not nearly enough to satisfy the needs. However, I would recommend Escalante from experience!

Although I believe that the athletics at this school are excellent. I have worked hard with teachers and administrators to advocate for my child's learning. The administration and teaching staff had good ideas and absolutely no follow through! I strongly believe that the academics do not account for all learners. Students are lost in a system that does not encourage differentiation and advanced accommodations for a variety of learning styles. Furthermore, the principal of this school clearly favors girls as evidenced by many boys complaints about her unfounded behavioral accusations against them. Unless there is an academic shift to focus on rigor and differentiation, and administrative changes I would highly recommend finding a different middle school to attend.

While the academic are above average I think there is room for improvement. especially in the area of gifted student classes. there seems to ver very few after schoool activities, such as drama clubs.
