My child will soon be graduating from Lincoln and I'm sad to see her move on. She has blossomed in her self-confidence and after attending a trip to Nicaragua to help work in a library and an orphanage, she really understood that as an IB student her life can have global impact. This school offers more than most in the district and my older daughter is excelling in the DP program at Poudre. This school understands that school is more than just rote homework.

This is a school to watch. We have new adminstration that IS doing something about the issues that used to make Lincoln the place to gossip negatively about. I've heard about the bullying and harassment. I've seen it change. Students are taking responsibility to make it the place they want it to be. Parents are choosing to send their children here because they know that our teachers and counselors care about students' welfare as well as rigorous academic achievement. They know that our teachers want the best education for all and they are working hard to push each student. We can't fight the poverty, the lack of literate parents and the 'gang' issues in Fort Collins by ourselves. We can expect that these school staff do all they can to support our kids. The staff at Lincoln is great. The students are more service-oriented than any other I've seen in the district.

I just attended Lincoln's Back to School night and was very impressed with the school. As a professor at CSU, I was pleased with the curriculum that was being taught to my son. The teachers mentioned the changes that the new principal has brought in and are very supportive of those changes. With are happy with our move to Fort Collins and the school that we choose for our son. The staff was well prepared to talk with parents and my son is adjusting to the new school nicely.

I feel this school is great for kids with rough lives. It has a lot of great after school activites but I will have to say there were a lot of fights but there were punishments were inforced to the best extent. Has a great art class progam.

As a former student of this school I agree with that last person to put in their comments. I also was bullied and the teachers didn't really do anything about it. It was stupid. Students in jr high shouldn't have to worry about 'well who is going to get beat up to day ' or 'who is going to try and start something with me today'. All i have to say is DO NOT put you child in this school. It will change them for ever.

I used to go to Lincoln but my parents forced me to leave because people kept harassing me in the hallways. They would wait for me after my class and when I went to the vice principal Mr.Tyorvick all he did was call her down and tell her to leave me alone. That very day the same people were stalking me and making rude comments to me.I then went to officer Leslie Taylor and she told them if they didn't leave me alone they would get a ticket for harassment. After that they stalked me after school and bullied me around.I didn't want to go to school anymore I would just tell my mom I didn't feel good. And I would stay home my grades went down from straight A+ to all F's.But it was fun I had tons of friends.Mr.McHuge(art) is the best he helped me out a ton & he's great.
