Summit hires teachers and promises them one salary, but then when it comes time to sign the contract, they give them a different number that's much lower. Summit is losing good staff due to a poor Human Resources department that is playing dangerous and unfair games. Students that move into the district are not welcomed by the other students who feel too entitled to care about anyone else. If you are a parent of a gifted child who wants to raise a stink about your kid being better than others, this is a great school for you. If not, stay away. And educators in general, avoid this nightmare of a place to work.
I was a new student to this school. Most of everyone was very welcoming and those who werent were within a week. The teachers that I have I really like. They are so fun to be in class with. The hour and a half of class flies by with those teachers. It may be confusing at first but you will get used to it and also like it alot. The kids that attend this school are not afraid to be crazy and funny. There is never a day that I don't like to go to Summit High School.
