Middle Park High School

This school doesn't offer quality education and offers few AP courses. My children are well behind average education stats even two years after graduating. MPHS simply puts you behind the pack. I highly recommend choosing a different school or community what with the budget cuts this school is facing. OVERALL: NOT A GOOD CHOICE.

I have had two sons graduate from Middle Park. One is currently majoring in business and the other is majoring in math. The classes are small enough that you get the help you need. They are going through a transition in leadership right now, so I don't know what will happen there. The teachers and staff are great and know every child by name. The four-day school week gives them plenty of time for homework, although the days can get pretty long after you get done with after school activities. Overall, I would think this is a pretty good school with lots to offer.

My son lives in the Grand County Area and wants to go to this school. He has been doing on-line school for several years and has excelled tremendously. I am concerned about his education at the Middle Park High School. Any helpful comments?

'My child have gone to the Douglas County school since they were in 2nd second. Their school is where the children come first. Each child is encouraged to do their personal best without being labeled as the smart or dumb kids. The teachers are highly skilled and work hard to bring out the best in each child. The staff in the front office is kind and knows each child by name mostly. They are a great example of a leader and I will miss seeing them everyday as my daughter graduates this year. Thank you for bringing out the best in my children and giving them the encouragement and confidence they need to go out into the world! '

I'm not a parent, I'm a student at Middle Park High and in my opinion it is a pretty good school, not great but good. Some teachers are excellent while others are boring. But the good teachers make up for the few lousy ones. The great thing about Middle Park is that everyone is so relaxed we all mostly get along. No one is majorly ostrasized and even unpopular kids have some friends. There is a slight drug problem, but it is better than most schools. Homework is not too major and we only go to school four days a week so we have plenty of time for homework. There are a number of classes but not a lot of variety with them. As a senior I've taken almost all the classes I'm interested in and there's nothing left to take. Besides these minor problems Middle Park is a very good school that everyone likes to attened.
