As a previous student teacher at this school, I would absolutely send my children to this school. Cheri Taylor is an amazing principal. She has the firm discipine necessary to run a school, but at the same time the students know how much she cares about them and their learning. The teachers are all incredibly dedicated and have great management. What an amazing school!

Sadly, some people judge too quickly and are just down right ignorant! My daughter had a totally positive experience at Pear Park Elementary! They have some of the HIGHEST scores on the CSAP in District 51! The teachers and principal work hard to ensure that the students are getting an excellent education!

We started our child at Pear Park last year and since day one have not been impressed with the way the school is run, or more like lack of it. The principle is very discriminative against certain minorities and is very hard to get ahold of as she is either not at the school or dodges setting up meetings with the parents. The school follows their own rules instead of the districts. I would rather transport accross town then have my children go to this school

I started my 2 kids in this school last year, but transfered them to another school after two weeks. Not impressed with the teachers. They don't seem to have any control over the kids and don't care enough. There was even a substitute that yelled 'shut up' at the kids. I would rather drive my kids across town to a great school then have them at this school.
