Dayspring Christian Academy, is a wonderful school for those who want their children to be taught godly principles in every subject they learn. I have been going to DCA since DK and am now in high school, I would advise any parent considering sending their child to a private school to pray and seek God in this matter. Something Dayspring provides for preparing for your child's future is, they require the students to write an oration which is a speech about a certain topic, you feel strongly about and then provide your point of view by researching. Then in the fall they present their oration to their class and possibly to the entire school or an event that occurs later in the school year. This helps the child acquire an ability to use logic, to debate, and to learn public speaking skills. Also another great thing about this school that is unique from the majority of schools is, in every subject they show how God is in every subject and the teachers are very open to assisting the students in class and one on one time if needed. I hope this has helped you in understanding a little bit more about this school.

My son is so happy and academically challenged at DCA! We've experienced nothing but great things here.

Christians are not perfect, but we all strive as families and staff of Dayspring to guide and educate in God's love. Our Kids still have free will and do make bad choices sometimes. We can't blame a school for that! Any issues we have had, all students have been given appropriate guidance and correction. Like any other place on this earth students will have issues. The important thing to me is that my children are using the biblical model to resolve conflict and held to that standard! I have kids at each grade level and they LOVE Dayspring, so do we as parents!

I can't say a single positive thing about this school. There is no leadership from the principal, the students are bullies and the school does not care what goes on, as long as the students are in dress code. It is not a nurturing environment and by and large I have never seen a larger gathering of non-Christians in my life. They call themselves Christian, but preach and teach hate.

Touring the school I feel in love with Dayspring and Dayspring has proved to be a safe and caring environment and above all provides a Christ centered education. My daughter loves Dayspring!

Without a doubt Best School in No Co., by far. Quality education, with an emphasis on enstilling moral values, while developing a love for Christ.

Both of my boys have attended Dayspring since kindergarten. Dayspring provides an academically rigorous yet nurturing environment where kids grow both academically and spiritually. The teachers truly care about the students and will pray with them and support them while still holding students to a high standard.

Dayspring is a Christ Centered education that delivers a biblical world view with a rigorous curriculum that challenges my kids. There are sports, drama, music and service opportunities that have blessed my kids as well. The teachers are prepared and challenged our kids every day. My kids are loved and encouraged everyday at Dayspring. My daughter recently graduated and is attending college and she said she is more prepared for school than most of her classmates are. Both of my kids will attend all 12 grades at Dayspring and I couldn't be more pleased. Its the best investment I can make in my children.

I am truly amazed at the family loving atmosphere my child and our family feels at events for this school. The school teaches and acts upon their christian values. Academically I have no complaints, more importantly the kids and staff treat each other with love and respect, you don't find that in too many schools these days!

Dayspring gives a "Christ-centered" education like no other. I graduated from Dayspring and have chosen to enroll my own child there after researching other schools in the area. I have found that there is no comparison with any other school spiritually or academically. The teachers care about the success and lives of each student, and that is something you can't find in some schools.

My husband and I started our son in Dayspring in 1977 and have since had him graduate plus our younger son. We have also had one granddaughter graduate plus have a granddaughter who is a senior. Our oldest son was accepted at School of Mines and our younger son tested out of the first semester of general ed classes at CSU his first year. The teachers are an extension of our home values as well as excellent teachers.

Dayspring Christian Academy, is a great Christ centered school. It is not only a school, its filled with staff , that honestly care about their students to succeed academically, and to have an important personal relationship with Jesus Christ. My son graduated last spring, and is proud to be an EAGLE !!! :)

Dayspring is Amazing! I was looking for a Pre-school for my son and never even considered Christian Education. Not only is my 4 year old reading 2nd grade books and doing simple math and spelling, but he has on several occasions mentioned that he LOVES Jesus and wants to be more like HIM! What more can parents ask for, Great Academics, Great Loving Staff, and a Great Christian Family Atmosphere, not to mention the individualized education! The staff is very willing to work with you and your student. I don't know about the past, but my experience has been stellar. My son will go here through graduation, I am glad I checked it out.

For me and my husband, the biblical worldview that my children have been immersed in day after day, culminating with the Senior Biblical Worldview Bible Class is worth every sacrifice we have had to make. Sometimes the things of this world are so overwhelming to us as parents, and even more so to kids trying to find their way. Dayspring has been one more tool we used to help equip our kids to find their way in today s information age. Has it been perfect and without challenging situations/relationships? No. But when we have kept our eyes on God - all of the challenges seem to be insignificant compared to the foundation my kids have built with the help of Dayspring teachers.

Dayspring Christian Academy delivers an unsatisfactory science class. In their science classes they teach a youn-earth account of creation without showing the old-earth account as well.

I am a student at Dayspring and I absolutely LOVE it. I have gone to public school before, and the differences between here and there are polar opposites. The teachers at DCA really do care and do everything they can to help us succeed. I haven't had one bad experience at Dayspring, and I know I am speaking for most of the student body.

I have had both of my boys in Dayspring for years. They both started in pre-k. One is now in 8th grade and the other in 4th. I have nothing but great things to say about the school. The teachers are amazing. The administration cares about every kid. The fine arts department is great, and the athletics are some of the best in the state. Go Eagles!

Community ratings and reviews do not represent the views of GreatSchools nor does GreatSchools check their accuracy or verify the reviewers' identities. Use your discretion when evaluating these reviews.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
