Cherry Creek School District No. 5 In The County Of Arapah

Know your school choice options in the Cherry Creek School District.

In the Cherry Creek School District, students can attend their neighborhood schools or choose other district schools (called intradistrict choice), as long as there is space; open enrollment applications are due in early February. Out-of-district students are admitted to Cherry Creek schools only if space is available; nonresident applications are due in early August. The district has an arts-focused elementary school, a K-8 magnet school, alternative schools for at-risk students, and a transition program for special needs student. It also provides special education services.

Under the federal No Child Left Behind law, students attending a Title I school designated as "in need of improvement" have the right to attend a higher-performing school in the district.
