I think the front desk staff is rude and also think volunteering is not recognized at Copper Mesa. It's our neigborhood school so that's why we're here. I'm also noticing that the teachers are not very supportive of the life skills they say they stand by. There is so much pushing, name calling, teasing, that is allowed to go on. A lack of respect for friendships. As the parent of a second grader, they need coaching on how to make/keep friends and this isn't happening. I'm wondering what charter school you now attend? We are looking into it.

This is what all elementary schools should strive to be. Copper Mesa has produced great results for my two children. The teachers have been fantastic! The principal is a great leader but very approachable and accessible. Communication between the school and parents is continuous and comprehensive. Our two children, while not brilliant, are somewhat ahead of grade level. In all cases, the teachers have done a great job customizing the experience for our kids to keep them challenged and growing. I also love the feeling of community that exists at this school. With no bus service and such a small boundary area, parents often walk to school and meet each other. Each year, the school has a dad s day. I marvel at the number (must be 350 men) of fathers that come to the school that day. I have a great deal of confidence sending my children to this school each day. -Proud Copper Mesa Father

We LOVE Copper Mesa! The Teachers are wonderful and really care about "teaching". Our daughter is in First Grade but we have neighbors that are older and they are all very happy as well.

Copper Mesa is a fantastic school that offers a great education to my children. The teachers care about the students, parents are appreciated, and the principal is very hands on. I would recommend this school to anyone!

This school is mediocre at best. We attended for Kindergarten and First Grade and have since switched to a charter school. It is so nice to now go to a school where they appreciate parent volunteers. The front desk staff were flat out rude.

I love love love this school and recommend it to everyone. We just relocated here from Ca and boy what a differance! My son is so happy to go to school each day and loves his Kindie teacher Ms. Johnson. Everyone that works at the school is very helpful and kind. So happy we made the change!!!

This school is fantastic. I've really enjoyed having my child attend this school. The adminstration, teaching staff, educational assistants and everyone who works there have shown to be super talented and caring. I am proud to be a Copper Mesa parent. The curriculum is top-notch. The atmosphere of learning is present around the entire building. They care and attend to all abilities. Great School!

I have 2 children at Copper Mesa and I've been thrilled with their experience thus far. The third grade teaching staff is simply phenomenal. I've been very impressed with the character-building approach to education at this school, as well as the individualization of learning (equal support is given to children who struggle in certain areas as it is to those who work with the gifted/talented coordinator). I would strongly recommend Copper Mesa to any family moving intothe area.

This has been a fantastic school for us. The preschool program at this school is excellent and parent participation is 100%+ . Great place to live and go to school. Wonderful neighborhood.

This is a very un-creative school. We moved to the area when our son was going to 6th grade. Sixth grade is a disaster in this school. They don't have enough staff to teach science so they rotate the kids. The result is a very weak science education. The kids do not learn anything. The teachers are not skilled at all. This school will never be rated excellent as long as they keep these teachers and keep the mediocre attitude about providing education. Excellent subdivision stuck with this elementary school is very sad.

Wonderful school, excellent teachers and principal. I thoroughly enjoyed watching my daughter excel in Kindergarten at a newly opened, organized school. The parent involvement is phenomenal. I highly recommend this school to anyone thinking of moving to the area.
