Excellent school. The teachers are great, excellent faculty. I have a child who is a slow learner and they have a very caring group of teachers who really care about the development of my child.
Great use of technology loving atmosphere. I have been very happy with everyone we have dealt with at this school.
The school still doesn't know who my child is. Teacher had no idea of her record from previous school. Little welcome, no follow up. Just another kid. Not much different from a review here in 2008. Things do fall through the cracks and communication is slow and at times incomplete. If you're in the parent click or PTO though, you'll be fine and you won't miss, or notice, a thing. Teacher's individual interpretation of a watered-down grading system can be challenging as well.
We are very happy with the quality of teachers and the administration! Good use of technology to keep parents informed.
School administration is thoughtful and caring. The principal, Laura Wilson has high expectations for the teachers and students. She moves the school forward by focusing her efforts on critical thinking. This is the best public school my children have ever attended!
Overall I would say that everyone at the school does their best to make sure that the school is a well-rounded place for our children. However, some very important things do fall through the cracks and even though intentions are good..follow through can be lacking. Parents tend to be clickish and it makes participation very uncomfortable. Going to your child's grade school shouldn't feel like going back to highschool! Ugh!
This is a new school, that has already had to go on track. Very poor planning. The leadership of the school seems to be challenged to keep up. The handling of special education and gifted programs also needs a lot of work.
I am really happy with the school. Parent participation sometimes leaves a lot to be desired, but the education and the spirit of the school are more than I dreamed of. They have a GT program that starts in Kindergarten and also offer 2 full day K classes. Children are encouragd to treat each other with respect and still have lots of fun. I can't say enough about the place - I love it ad so do my children.
Redstone is a very good school. Our son in in Kindergarten, and he loves it. The effort the teachers are placing in enhancing the kids experience at schools is commendable.
Redstone's administrative and teaching staff have all proven to be both highly experienced, patient, and proactive in the development of the children's education and social nurturing. There is an extremely active PTO program and tons of activities for families to stay involved. There is an air of happiness as soon as you walk through the doors. Our children are thriving there and we can't imagine being anywhere else. The school is on a track system which goes year round. It allows our family more quality time together throughout the school year as we have 3 week breaks 4 times a year instead of one long summer break. Redstone also was awarded the ranking of Excellent by the State of Colorado this past year. Their motto is 'Reaching Every Child Every Day' and they mean it. We love Redstone!
