I have two children at Cougar Run. I love this school. Great Principal ,Teachers and lots of parent involvement.
I will have 3 kids iin this school next year and I moved to the area to have them come here. I am very happy.
Cougar Run is an amazing place. I am so fortunate to have my child in this school. My son has just thrived under the four different teachers he has had there and they are all really committed to differentiating to meet the needs of gifted learners, struggling learners, and everyone in between. Parent involvement is great
Great school. We have been here for 12 years. All of my children have gone to Cougar Run and we have moved a few times but always stayed within the schools boundries. Wouldn't go any where else.
Cougar Run is a great place to work and learn. We have a supportive parent community and super students.
I have 2 kids at CRUN and a third will start next year. The staff is great and the principal is awesome. He really motivates the kids. The parents are very involved and and the score, are always well above average. I can't understand a couple of the bad reviews but those were years before my children attended this wonderful school.
I feel that cougar Run is an excellent school. My daughter loves to go to school. The Staff has been friendly And our teacher have been wonderful for my daughter. We will not move away from cougar run.I don't understand how anyone couldn't be happy here.I'm very picky and my husband and i both are thankfulwe came to cougar run.Not the first problem.
My two kids had a very hard time at Cougar Run. The 5th graders have a cuss moutian and their fowl mouths are bad. The subjects such as, playboy channel that come up in day to day conversations were too much for my kids. My youngest kept getting the middle finger from fellow class mates. The school is having a hard time with too many kids in the district. The administration is nice but, the kids that go there are out of control. I had to discuss subject with my kids I never thought I would at the younger grades. On the bus is worse and the bulling and teasing is the greatest. We are moving so that they do not have to attend again.
This school seems to have a lot of bullies, teachers that can't control the students and my kid hate going to school everyday, thankfully he will not be attending next year.
We moved from California a year ago, and we were in the Poway school district there - which is considered the best in San Diego. However, my oldest really took off in Cougar Run. In Poway they were all about numbers and being the best that they lost the kids somewhere along the way. Here at Cougar Run, they are concerned about numbers, but have the kids and their well being as priority one. My kids came home happy, and my oldest improved tremendously from the beginning of the year. Everyone is so nice and caring. I am happy to have my kids enrolled here!
This is an excellent school with tremendous activities and parent involvement. I have 2 children there and the staff is always courteous and encouraging. The staff works very hard at promoting academics coupled with endless after-school activities. 5 Star. Excellent.
I have 3 kids in CRun this year - year after next I'll have all 4 of my kids there - I love Cougar Run - I don't understand those other two reviews - the leadership and Principle are very approachable and friendly. The teachers are awesome with a couple of minor exceptions. I would highly reccomend this school and I'm a very picky parent.
I have put 2 older children through Cougar Run and have a 3rd child there currently. If I weren't happy, I would move my child. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable. The sixth grade program is a real benefit to prepare kids to move on to Middle School. The teachers really put their hearts into educating these kids...their scores show it. There are numerous volunteering opportunities in the classroom and throughout the building. The parent committee is very welcoming and supportive of the school. They meet once a month, yet surprisingly have very few parents who attend. (This would be the only thing that I am unhappy about). A few times a year there is also a chat with the principal which is also in low attendance...wish more parents would come to that also. Overall Cougar Run is an excellent place to be!
As a parent, I would not recommend this school at all. The academics are horrible. The office staff is very unfriendly. I find the leadership to be poor at this school.
Cougar Run is terrible I do not know why it is considered a blue ribbon school. Teachers do not follow the same curriculum and the principal is way out of touch.
Just moved from California and found the standard good. Kudos to the Principal for doing a great job.
