Brideun is a school designed for twice-exceptional students, those who are learning disabled and 'gifted.' The term gifted here isn't based on any strict test. Brideun has helped many children who are 'different' and hated school before coming to Brideun. It doesn't have very many extracurricular activities, but does have a strong art component and parental involvement is high. Students work at their own levels in multi-age classrooms. Although Brideun was great for my son, my biggest complaint is that some of the children are rather 'high need' and they can be louder and more disruptive than I think is appropriate.
