The Principal has no control and does not inforce Rules. I am deeply sadden that the school has gone down hill in the last few years. I have watched a number of good families and teachers leave because of the Principals leadership style and lack of follow through. I gave the principal leadership 1 star only because I am unable to give it less. For the Parent involvement I see a large number of them leaving this school or looking at other options.

GGE is a wonderful school. I have two children attending Green Gables Elementary and they are haveing a great time and excelling academically. The principal does a great job leading this school. She has surrounded herself with a team that cares for these kids and pushes them to do well in all aspects of school. The test scores were up in 2010.

Green Gables is a small school with a mixed socio-economic population. Because they are small, they often don't get the funding of the larger schools. However, they have very active community involvement and the teachers are very supportive of the students.

The teachers are making a great effort to engage children at all levels. My son is in 1st grade and is at the top of his class. His teacher consistently makes an effort to make sure he stays challenged. The issue I have with the school is the overall leadership, which in my opinion is below average. If it wasn't for the great teaching staff I would rate this school lower.

Good community atmosphere. Rating was high when my kids entered, many kids choiced in. Enrollment seems to be changing, and test performances are decreasing. My kids (2) are very happy in the small school atmosphere. However, I have high performing kids and I now worry resources will all be spent on the underachievers.

Outdated building, enrollment increasing, academic quality decreasing. Very few extra curricular choices.

I love this school. My daughter loves it too. She is only in first grade and is doing very well.

Green Gables has a small school atmosphere. The class size is comparable and not too large (less than 30 per class). The teachers genuinely care for the children and weekly correspondence is continual and very informative. They are constantly offering opportunities for the kids to express themselves and be acknowledged on a individual basis. Parent involvement is strongly encouraged and welcome on a monthly basis.
