Terrible experience. Bullying, cliquish environment and nobody does anything about that. Moved my child out of this school and we are very happy about that decision. After going through terrible time in Wilder, my child ,now in different school, is again happy, healthy , an honor roll student.
I moved my child from Littleton Academy to Wilder - I could not be more happy. What a fabulous postive, high academic enviroment. The teachers are sensational. Every school is not for every child, but Wilders is exceptional for the above average student and want their child to come home every day loving school. It is a gift for a school to engage children from the moment they step into the school to the minute they leave.
Awesome school! We have been at the school for three years & have found challenging curriclum, loving teachers & happy sudents! Principal leadership is strong & the staff cohesive. There is a huge body of parent volunteers & a strong sense of community within this school. These were all the things we were looking for in a school & we couldn't be happier!
For whatever reason (lack of funding, knowledge, etc) this school is not equipped to handle children with special needs. Wilder Elementary made it very obvious that me sending my child to school was an inconvenience to the other students and the staff. They never once offered any help for my child. I asked the principal, the psychologist, teachers, multiple times for an IEP or a 504 plan and they seemed very confused as to what to do. I was very willing to do whatever it took to help my child and I kept getting hit with walls. My child spent 3 years at this school. We are now at another district and it is night and day. Within 2 weeks, they tested my childs strengths and weaknesses and set up an IEP. My child is making tons of progress and is almost caught up to grade level. I am still very confused and upset as to why Wilder never helped us, but am happy that we have been able to get the help we need elsewhere. A child who struggles academically shouldn't be punished. And the family shouldn't be made to feel like an inconvenience on a school.
I move my children out of this school. I would advice parents to do their homework before enrolling your children in this kind of environment. IMO staff unprofessional, environment cliquish and leadership not good. Although I would have to say nice office staff.
Wilder provides a wonderful fun caring environment for students. It has a wonderful preschool. the teaching staff is professional and very dedicated to their jobs! We love the parent involvement at Wilder.
This is a wonderful school. The teachers and staff are excellent and very helpful. The principal is like no other, she is really there for the children. My son is going into his second year here and my daughter started this year in kindergarten. They both love the school, and have already made some wonderful friends. The students there no matter how big are always helpful with the younger students. The teachers keep you up to date on everything so you dont miss a beat and if you as a parent need help they are always there to answer your questions, weather it be a voice mail, a private conference, or a quick email. Best school I could ever wish for my kids to go to.
Excellent quality staff. Love the science fair and the dedication of the principle
Academic programs are excellent. Gifted/Talented prorgam available. Kids are grouped for reading and math based on ability. Lots of parental involvement. Art and music are supported. Enrichment classes in drama, science and foreign language are available at an extra charge and are held before/after school. Before and after school care is availabale on site - very good quality.
