When my daughter was struggling in math, her 6th grade teacher went out of her way -- scheduling help during lunch and after school -- to make sure she understood the math concepts and could apply them during class. Very good at responding to emails and keeping me informed on my daughter's struggles and triumphs.
Hope that your child has a Master Teacher at this school. Otherwise, the educational level of your student will fall behind. No extra tutoring is given to students who fall below or ahead of the curve. Many parents seek outside tutoring to develop the academic potential of their students. Supplementing the school curriculum is essential.
I beleive that Eagle Ridge has the potientail of being a very good school as long as your children are above the grade level expectation. I have had great experiances there with the staff but I don't believ that they have any tools for the children to excell.
Academic programs excellent Extracurricular activities excellent Parent involvement very high Overall an excellent school
The teachers at Eagle Ridge are true professionals. My children make great strides in their education each year. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone.
For the most part, Eagle Ridge has been a great school; however, I have 2 children attending that are average students. They are behind in math and reading. The school does not provide anything to help them unless they are extremely behind in reading at the second semester in 2nd grade. There is nothing for math. After talking to the principal and school board, we ended up spending thousands (5,000) to send our kids to private tutoring everyday after school. We are currently considering a move to put our kids in another school district. Eagle Ridge is a good school, excellent status, but I've learned there is more to it than that. Eagle Ridge
Eagleridge offers the highest calibre teachers, band and orchestra opportunities to 5th and 6th grade students, excellent leadership and the students can chose between three different lunch choices each day. Kathy Truglio, our principal, gives new meaning to an open door policy. She listens to concerns and is available to all. Kathy even plays in our school band.
