Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

I am in 100% agreement with the parent who posted prior to me! I am completely and utterly disappointed with this school!! I should have went with my gut and tried to get my child into another school in Loveland. I figured I would give it a shot and see how things went and that has been the biggest mistake I have made as a parent. Academically my child is not even close to being challenged and the teachers do not update the parent portal so I am constantly getting message stating my child has a failing grade only to find out the grade just has not been posted. My child is also having difficulties with other students and the school said they would get involved, well they made it 10 times worse, do not believe my child and do not actually listen to me. Honestly if my kid was older I would just let he/she go onto Colorado Connections Academy and do the online thing. Both my husband and I work so there goes that option for the time being. UGH, I really wish I never moved into Thompson School District!!!

I'm pulling my student from this school ASAP! I recently hear from my son that he's getting bullied by a teacher, his whole class is. I read the reviews over the summer and had a bad feeling from the beginning! My son refuses to get out of bed in the morning because he hates this school. He asked to be transferred to another school but everywhere is full for 6th graders. Have I spoke to the school about this issue, No! I dont want my child to be singled out and make things worse.

I am so pleased with Conrad Ball Middle School, I have found that the whole education is created to find the strengths in my child and teach him how to apply his knowledge in a manner to maximize his learning needs. As a parent of a special needs child I am very impressed with the dedication to see my child succeed. Woot!! Team ConBall!!

This school is great. They have help all three of my children and go above and beyond every day. We could use more homework, but I agree that sometimes kids just need to be kids. The ratings on here are not accurate at all.

I am impressed with the staff and school. They are trying something new and willing to do whatever is best for kids. Thank you to the dedicated staff at CBMS and for making my child love school.

I'm reading these reviews for the first time and I'm shocked. Conrad Ball is not full of bullies and mean teachers. I have a college student who went to ConBall, and I currently have an 8th and a 6th grader at the school. I'm very involved at all of the schools my kids attend/have attended, K-12, in the classrooms and in parent volunteer groups/organizations. I've seen ConBall through a couple of principals (some I was glad to see go!), and I can honestly say that the students are blessed to be under the guidance of the current administration. Conrad Ball has recently won some prestigious awards, including the most recent Innovation Grant, an honor bestowed on only 7 schools in the country. Do some real research when deciding on where to send your children to learn. Visit the school, talk to the parents who are truly involved. Schools are schools and they all have some problems, but Conrad Ball is a safe, innovative school, and it's the only place I'd send my kids!

I dont think the teachers, counslors, nor principals really care. When a child is struggling with their grades, pick up the phone with your concerns. I did as a parent, but we still don't feel that teachers, counselors, nor the principals care enough to make that initiative call or conference a meeting. This school also uses a lot of student (interns) teachers. A LOT!

This is a horrible school never send your children here. Although some teachers are very polite, most are unprofessional and rude. They never do anything about bullying. There "motto" is no place for hate, well my daughter is a hispanic and even teachers dont like her because of that. there is also many fight that happen there.

My daughter started her 8th Grade after moving from several schools and states. Her experience with the students at Conrad Ball has been very negative and my interactions with the staff have been unprofessional and distant. She has only attended 4 months and we are glad that she will only spent a year here. We have a plan to remove her if she is met with more bullying. She is a very sociable and bright child that is now not enjoying school for the first time. The kids are mean and bullying is tolerated and bad behavior is accepted. My daughter has had a few very positive experiences based solely on a couple of exceptional teachers.

Staff and faculty need constant reminders of medical conditions ( even serious ones) and educational needs. They say they read I.E.P but, fail to meet even the basic reqirements on it. You have to always stay on top of things in this school or your child will fall through the cracks. You are treated like a bother for making sure your childs I.E.P is met. They will never admit to any wrong doing and turn it onto the parent. This school by far has been the worst school for my child who has unique learning needs and also has medical issues. I have talked to other parents and I am not the only parent who has gone through this. Children should have to struggle this bad in a learning environment.

All interactions I have had with Conrad Ball have turned out positive. Things will not always be 100% excellent, however I do know the staff and administration at this school go above and beyond what is expected of them. If there is an issue to be dealt with- large or small- there will always be someone there to help find a solution. Staff are prompt to reply and very open to helping ALL students no matter the situation. I would have no qualms in sending a child to this school- I know they would be fed (even if they didn't have lunch money), cared for (even if they were having an "off day"), and acquired new knowledge of some kind throughout the day. With everything that goes on in a student's life, the staff at Con Ball do an amazing job of meeting the student where they are and working up. Keep up the superb work T-Birds!

I have a 6th grader and an 8th grader at Conrad Ball, and we have been continually impressed by the staff at this school. Yesterday, for example, I emailed the principal with a question, and by the end of the day, two of my son's teachers had personally contacted me to be certain my son had everything he needed to succeed in their classes. We have observed this level of dedication from every teacher and staff member with whom we have interacted at CBMS. In addition to academics, CBMS offers a full roster of extra-curricular activities, clubs, and sports, and the teachers who facilitate these groups are nothing short of outstanding. Further, Mr. Elias, who took the job as principal last year, has done a phenomenal job of ascertaining student needs are met by making changes to the bell schedule, grade-level teams, etc. He isn't afraid to challenge the status quo and continually makes improvements to best address the needs of the students. I cannot say enough about how pleased we are with CBMS.

Conrad ball has excellent teachers and staff. The teachers go out of their way to help students during and after school. They recently received a grant for IPads to help aid with textbooks and also to keep up to date on new information.

My sons have thrived at Conrad Ball Middle School. The teachers are very responsive to e-mails, phone calls and visits when there were any concerns. My oldest, now in high school, in 8th grade found his own motivation and talents through the team of teachers that worked with him. He came home with an "F" on his first science lab, but with the support of the teachers and communication with us, he was able to work very hard and "find his own talents" and by end his 8th grade year with 1 B and the rest A's! He is now in the Gifted and Talented Program and enjoying the Pre-AP classes he is now in. We don't think he would have been identified as Gifted and in Pre-AP WITHOUT the teachers and administration at Conrad Ball Middle School! Wonderful School without any doubts!

Conrad Ball is a wonderful school with caring teachers and staff. My child was very shy and after sharing that with his teachers, they went out of their way to encourage him and he became an outgoing young man who carried that through high school and into college.

Expectations are low - Teachers require very little of the students, principal responds positively if you agree with her, sarcastically if you don't - to both student and parent. Decisions are made then changed without follow-up with parent. Test scores are low. My child left the school under-achieving and little understanding of what it will take in high school to achieve success. The entire system lacks motivation and enthusiasm.

This school is repulsive. My straight A student was physically harassed over and over and nothing was ever done to protect him. They protect the confidentiality of the "bully" and his so called punishments but will not tell us what they were. Obviously was unsucessful, after a hear and a half I removed him and had to home school until High School Level...Beware of this school and its principal

Very dedicated staff, Teamwork staff environment, students know they can go to anyone on staff for help with personal issues or academic issues. The ABC program reminds and enforces to the students that they are not only part of a school community but a world community and enforces basic values to care about themselves and others. I say this school is amazing. We learn so much. Things are not to hard but not to easy and only a student can know exactly how amazing this school is because we are the only ones who go to it and learn. Parents are able to know how were doing and teachers help us get good grades. The students and teachers love it and that is the best kind of school there is.

Conrad Ball's academic standards are very low. They seem to be a safe enough school, but the teachers my studen has had, have very low expectations. There is virtually no homework, projects, test, ect. Student grades are inflated and more than 30% got all A's for the first quarter and this is a consistant trend. The school celebrates A's, B's and C's as high excellence.

In my opinion, Conrad Ball is not a very good school. They rank the lowest in CSAP scores yet grades are greatly inflated and about 15-20% of the school population is 'given' 4.0 GPA. At year-end, at least 70% of the student receive awards for some type of excellence-- diminishing the value of true achievement.

The quality of academic programs at CBMS varies greatly dependent on the teachers a child is assigned to. Some teachers are excellent, others are by far sub-par yet their dull performances seem to be tolerated. CBMS has struggled in the past in providing a consistent choir program, having a new choir instructor every year. This seems to have been resolved. CBMS drama department lags behind other schools graded on number of performances per year compared to other middle schools. Sports for prime athletes are well supported. CBMS intramural athletes receive far less attention or instruction. Extracurricular opportunities do abound at CBMS. The GT instructor is very involved and devoted to her many students.

Conrad Ball is a school that is responsive to its students and welcoming to its parents. The school works hard to communicate with families and achieve individual student goals. The staff is friendly and professional. Conrad Ball Middle School has won awards for its progressive ideals in education and visiting this school will affirm the positive recognition the school has achieved.

My child has struggled with school since kindergarden. I had been told by former teachers that she was mildly retarded and/or dixlexic. At Conrad Ball, the 6th grade counselor, Tom Kowolski, and school psychologist, Patricia Gibbs, recognized that she might have the Non-Hyperactive form of ADHD. A trained pediatrician subsequently diagnosed her with severe Non-Hyperactive ADHD. She is now on medication - and even made the Honor Roll! During this time her teachers have been - and continue to be - amazing! Andra Ramsey has even been spending time tutoring my daughter during lunch periods. My daughter has now been thoroughly tested; she is not at all retarded or dislexic. She just needed the insight of excellent, concerned educators, such as those at Conrad Ball Middle School. Thank you, Conrad Ball! You certainly made a difference in my child's life!

This school is truly a great school, staff are always on the look-out as to how they can better childrens education. In the recent CSAP scores, once again Conrad Ball showed their dedication to keeping this school at a 100 percent! Teachers are always welcoming new ideas and step foward to try something new that isn't promised to work but will be given a try to help students falling through the cracks. I really enjoy that my children can be involved in extra-curricular activities, I say this because my child is a Latino and because of this he doesn't always feel comfortabe. However, there are many activities available for my child to feel satisfied. My child is involved in the League of United Latin American Citizens club also called Cultural Awareness club, he enjoys being within the community making a difference and making a good impact.

I have a son with special needs that attends Conrad Ball Middle School, from the very beginning all the Teachers and Staff have been wonderful, and very receptive to all my suggestions in regards to my son's education. I cannot say enough good things about what a great Middle School Con Ball has been, under the leadership of Principal Diane Lauer, and Dean of Students Linda Spreitzer, they have taken CBMS to new heights, which led the school to win the prestigious award of being the best Middle School in Colorado.
