This is the best high school experience available for my child in this district. This school is so misunderstood - I believe my child is more prepared for the real world after attending Ferguson.

Becasue this is an 'alternative' high school, traditional extracurricular activites such as clubs and sports are not offered. However, indiviudal classes often go out for local events, such as when the Olympic touch came through town or state political candidates come through. The teachers are (overall) excellent and there is an onsite nursery for the students who wish to continue school to get their diploma. Traditional classes as well as 'leadership' and 'digital photography' are samples of the offerings. Attendance is structured in such a manner so the student can only be late a certain number of times and missing a class has points off (so many misses and you're out for the semester). These teachers work closely with the students and are very good with one to one needs. Funding for the school is tight, so there are a few fund raising events (rummage sales, car washes) by the students.
