I am a former student of Campion. While I was there I absolutely loved it. The staff has changed quite a bit though, so I don't know how it is now. I know many complained about dorm life, but I was one who personally loved it. This school offers plenty of activities, teaches responsibility by requiring students to have a job, and offered a loving environment.
I go here and it is not bad, but staff chooses favorites and academics are not bad, but the focus is all the school there is nothing fun to do here at all and it is a problem since it is a dorm situation. I love your kids don't send them here
Campion Academy is the best experience i've had in a high school, this is saying a lot considering a wide background of public schools i've attended. For one, the academic structure is challenging but rewarding, the teachers are friendly, and quite frankly, the food is delicious. the real reason that I favor Campion above any other is the warmth in the school, there are a variety of programs that allow the teachers to mingle with students, there are many activities that the students take part of and build great relationships with others, and the small but dramatic difference, is that if you are walking through the hall and see anyone, you will always receive a warm smile, enjoy a short conversation, and you will feel very accepted at this school regardless of your background. A school cannot get better than campion academy! (Former Student)
I am a recent graduate of Campion Academy and I can honetsly say it was one of the best decisions of my life. The teachers really care and take an intrest in you life. The academics are challenging and really prepare you for college and beyond. If you ever get the oppertunity to attend you should take it and embrace your time there.
well I'm not a parent, but I am a previous student and I can honestly say that this was the best school that I have ever been to. it had a wonderful music program that I was thoroughly involved in. I was in the choir, elite choir, and I was leader of the sax section in the band. it has a very good involvement with spirituality and programs. it is a boarding school and they have many programs to keep the students busy and involved. I loved it and I wish I could go back. I had made very good friends with the teachers and I can truthfully say that they care about every aspect of the students. its a great place to make friends and get work done. so if you get a chance, you should check it out. I loved it.
I sent my daughter to this school for 11th grade. It has an exceptional academic program. The chemistry, biology, and bible teachers are exceptional. They know thier information and are excited about it. The music program is good, cosisting of a chior, special chior, band, and handbells. The sports program has basketbal, softball, soccer, and hockey. Now to what I really wanted to say. This is a Seventh Day Adventist Boarding school. The spiritual leadership is great, and the kid have several spiritual programs they can join. What I didn't like is the fact that parents have limited involvment. It is a boarding school, but I believe that they should let the parents, who are paying an arm and a leg become more involved in their childs life. Campion has certian closed weekends where you cannot take your child home. Was not impressed.
Campion Academy maintains a high excellence of academics, developing the whole child, mentally, spiritually, and physically. It has a phenominal music department, which work jointly with the local Seventh-day Adventist church on campus, as well as an outstanding physical education program, and work-study program. Campion, not unlike other Adventist schools, ranks very high each year on ACT & SAT scores.
