STEM is a great concept and I think it could be a great school if it had better leadership. The current principal Dr Eucker lacks leadership and people skills. I have spoken with several parents who feel this way. The game of tag was eliminated after the first week of school b/c a 5th grader fell and scraped her knee. Our son's class's lunches were inspected by a teacher who wanted to teach an impromptu health lesson with no apology from Dr Eucker and when trying to resolve an issue with my son when he chose poorly at school she became very hostile towards me. My son has additional learning needs and we tried very hard to build bridges at the beginning of the year to no avail. (The special ed/gifted teacher is amazing though). Dr Eucker is a very letter of the law principal. No doubt brilliant in math/science but lacks basic common sense and people skills sadly. The principal of the new STEM school in Thornton however I have heard great things about.

This is an amazing school! My son just started in Kindergarten this year. In the short time he's been there, I have seen a complete change in how he looks at the world. The teachers are top-of-the-line. This school is truly training our future thought leaders.

This is an incredible, challenging school! This school is filled with MA and PHD instructors while sporting an incredible environment involving project-based learning. My three children struggled at first as they came from a VERY low-rated school; however, as the year wore on, they truly stepped up and began to meet the challenges of STEM! This school is a true blessing to the area!
