This is my childs second year at this school. I am impressed with the willingness of the teachers for the students to grasp with what is being taught. My childs teachers wants her to fully understand what is being taught. There does seem to be alot of students that need extra help so maybe thats why there are teachers going the mile to reach out. There is an open line of commuication and I can appreciate that. The school is clean and always in an orderly fashion. The campus is really nice and the office staff are always friendly. Though my child has complained about the lunch and has often times come home hungry because lunch either wasnt enough or was too poor to eat.

If you are moving from out of state be prepared that your child could very well be ahead of this school. They have many programs in place for children who are behind. There are no programs in place for advanced or gifted children. They have started an after-school program that is very beneficial. It is a good program that is growing. BUE revamped their discipline program. District 16 needs to work on their curriculum.

The teaching programs are wonderful. However the security I feel is a little lax.
