This school was awesome and trust me, if you are considering going to it, then PLEASE stop here! I moved from Colorado after 3 years of Pioneer E. and I love it and want other people to love it to. It was my very first school!

My daughter is in 3rd grade at Pioneer- her teacher noticed that she is excelling in reading. She now 'flexes up' to grade 4 for reading. I am glad they can make accomodations for my daughter for her reading level. That is important to me.

My son attended Pioneer from K to 3rd grade. He was always two grades behinds. When I asked for help from the prinicpal on several occasions, I never received a response. I did get a tutoring list that was two years old. The administration was non-supportive and cooperative. His teacher was insensitive as well. Communication is very poor and the prinicipal is biding his time. My son now attends a new school. He was put on an ILP and he is now at grade level. I would not recommended this school. I was PTO president for a while and parent involvement was very poor as well.

There are 24 children in my daughters kindergarten class with, from what I understand, some part time help. Parents are asked to volunteer time to help, which my wife and I do. According to this web site there are 19 kids to every teacher which at this time is incorrect. We talked to one of the women in the front office and she said 24 students is normal. I think there should be no more than 20 students per teacher. We have gotten on a waiting list for a school with less students and better academic scores.
