It's hard to believe such a great community with great kids has to accept a school district that supports a poor elementary administrator. We would have no complaints other than the quality of education is severely reduced by one ineffective leader.

We love this school! Our son has been in several schools including homeschooling and this school is amazing. The teachers are fantastic, keep him busy even at his above average skill set. It is a small school with really great parents, children and teachers. We also have a preschooler and that program is also fantastic!!! I have nothing but great things to say about Ridgway. (Our son had been to school in Boulder, CO (great schools) and Montrose (Cottonwood, we pulled him out and homeschooled him until we could move to Ridgway.) Love love love!

UPDATE! The elementary school now has a great new art program and a good Spanish program too. This school is constantly working to improve.

It's a pretty good school in a beautiful backdrop. One of my few complaints is very little art and no foreign language for the elementary...that would be a big plus in my book.
