We like the school very very much. On the first day, my child came home with something to say about what he learned. I also like the principal and teachers that are out front to greet the children in the morning and at the pick up time. It is such a personal school. Thank you.

Red Sandstone is very supportive to the needs of all students. The Principal has been there forever, knows all the problems that the schools has and is working on them, she is also open to suggestions to improve the school and the teaching.

We moved to Vail when my oldest was in 2nd grade. He is now in 4th. Every year, every step of the way Red Sandstone has been supportive in helping my son feel confy with making friends and since he does have ADHD, they stepped up to the plate and everyone got involved. I have seen a VAST improvement in my son. Its thanks to the staff and the caring people that know my son that has made his life so much easier. Now that my youngest is in kindergarden I know that he is in good hands and that he will finish out elementary school with a bang :)

I am a parent of a Kindergarten student. What I appreciate most about Red Sandstone, in addition to academic instruction, is that the Principal, Nancy Ricci and the Dean, Harry McQueeney greet the cars each morning by standing outside the entrance to help the little ones open a car door and telling the children 'good morning' with a smile. I love that personal attention so that the students start their day feeling welcome and acknowledged. The principal and dean are outside each morning rain or shine. The little ones enter school with a big smile ready to start the day. I really appreciate that! We did have a discipline issue this year concerning our son throwing snowballs on the playground. But, I guess that should be expected in a ski town like Vail. ;-)
