Provide necessary books and materials i.e:dictionaries, encyclopedias,&other resources, quiet place to study without any television or other distractions on. Assist when asked by asking questions and guiding child to find the answer on his/her own.

It is vital that a parent be allowed to partner with a child's teacher. As a teacher, I may have more domain knowledge about teaching, but you as a parent know your child better than I will. Only together can we meet the needs of the child.

A parent must reinforce what is being taught and encourage their child to achieve even more. Read, go to a museum, see a play, explore a beach. Always support your child in trying to reach their potential.

A parent should be the main educator in their child's life. Teachers are the "supporting cast."

I raise my granddaughter she attends a small Christian school. We work together as a team to influence ALL areas of her life!! Since she is in school 8 hours a day it is important that we work together in all aspects of her education.

I believe a parent should be the motivator and the disciplinary.

A parent needs to be the child's advocate though that role has to be delicately played in order to get along with your child's teachers. A parent also should help a child in every productive way possible with school tasks and school responsibilities.
