No--and I am glad that it is NOT. Continually modifying assignments gets students more and more behind their counterparts. Better idea-work out a homework policy together with students, parents, and teachers at a calm time.

no, it's not and it drives me crazy. If he can't do the homework independently, what's the point? It just means I am doing it.

Homework is a big problem for many parents. It's not limited to SpEd.

It's either busy work, or there is way too much of it, or they send home so much we feel like we're teaching the kids.

So vent, but know you're not alone. :)

What do you mean by modified? If it is not challenging your child, you need to have a conversation with the teacher so you are both on the same page.
