I dont but a girl at my school who wears hearing aids and uses an FM system uses a FM like thing during basketball games/pratices

Yes, however I did have to push the issue by requesting an IEP meeting. Once I explained IDEA 2004 and the federal law requring that they provide services for participation in extra-curricular activities, they were willing to make accomodations.

It is not usually included in the IEP of the student because is is not part of the child's regular program. The school is required to provide a program that will show progress toward the student's IEP goals and objectives. So it must be written in.
