Mary T. Murphy School

My Daughter has attended Mary T Murphy from kindergarten and we are extremely satisfied. This school improves every year Teachers and school administrative personnel are very good and always helpful. My daughter loved teachers in any grade she started. They are always positive and tried to be helpful for children. I think if parents do own part on helping their children with homework. We recommend this school to friends and family. Great teachers, Great Staff and great community!

Disappointment all around. After 2nd grade say goodbye to spelling and vocab. Each teacher has their own curriculum, there are some good teachers but most are mediocre. Math is the worst unless you like spending 20 min. on one simple problem. Investigations math is enforced.

Very disapointed with principal and kindergarten teacher who did not protect the safety of the children when she left a chef knife in reach of the children for 1 month! Moved my child to another school when he left kindergarten knowing less than when he went in. I perfer paying for private school over the poor standards of Murphy.

The staff is wonderful from the principal to the teachers, specials (art, computer, gym and violin techers) and maintence. It is always a positive and happy place for children to be and grow. Personally, I think it's the best out of all 3 elementary schools in Branford.
