I attended Zion Luthern in Kindergaten and again in 3rd Grade. I'm now 25, a college graduate, and I own my own Real-Estate Firm (looking for a place to send my own Daughter). Unless the school has changed drasticly, I would never send my daughter there. When I attended, I didn't get the attention I needed, and It was assumed that I was suppose to know the work before getting into the class room. I florished in the public school system, with a little attention. I'm not sure what other Zion Lutheran alum that stayed throughout are doing, but I'm glad my parents pulled me. Though it took alomst 20 years to give my opinoin, I'm glad there is now a place where I can be heard.
This school is past its prime. I will under NO circumstances enroll my child back there in Spetember. The curriculum is a joke. There is no longer any good teachers there. There have been 4 principals in three years. The guy we got now don't seem to be in touch with the students. I'm out and going to a school where my son can learn and get what my tuition pays for.
The quality of education at Zion has improved. This is finally a safe and academic place for my child to learn in. Our principal, Mr. Kehr has brought back the respect of academics and safety at Zion from the previous administration. This is a real Christian environment for children to grow and learn. I would like to see a better parent involvement. For those who are looking for a small and safe place to send their children, Zion is a wonderful place to consider.
Zion is a great Christian school. My daughter has attended Zion since kindergarten. It has a low student/teacher ratio. The teachers are wonderful, always willing to go out of their way to help their students. I have also seen an improvement in administration recently. I highly reccomend Zion.
I am a parent of a first grader and contemplating not enrolling my child for the 2007-2008 academic year. I think the school has gone down with regard to administration, parental involvement and extracurricular activities. This school is seriously lagging with the current technological advancements. In the past, Zion Lutheran was a great school; I am not sure if it is now........
Zion Lutheran used to be a great school but since 2005/2006 school year. There was a decline in the administration, no school/community relationship lack of activities except for fund raisers which seemed to occupy majority of the school semester. No PTA meeting was called and the moral declined terribly. Majority of the parents chose to move their kids to other school.
Zion Lutheran is a wonderful school. I have absolutely no regrets in sending my son to the school. It's been four years and he has not been off the honor roll. God be praised. Mrs. Ray is a wonderful teacher I appreciate the way in which she interact with the students - they are not only her students - they are her friends and like her own children. Sending my child there and knowing he is in a christian environment makes me appreciate all the blessing God has placed on me. Thank you Zion. DL. Bridgeport CT.
Great school. My kids love it, loving christian environment, no violence. What a blessing.
I have been a parent at Zion for 10yrs.And I know that Zion is a wonderful school. Mrs. Schmidt, Mr. Van Camp and the whole staff at Zion keeps Zion a safe, loving, caring christian enviroment for our children to learn in.
