I am a parent of an EES kindergartener and I just love this school! His teacher and 'para' are very competent, warm and caring. They keep us updated weekly with what is going on in the class which is important, because you know you can't get any info from a boy! We're always welcome to call or email the teacher and she involves the parents.
I have had the privilege of being both the parent of 2 Essex Elementary School students for a total of 9 years, and a member of the certified staff for the past seven years. I have never seen or heard of bullying such as was reported here in an earlier post, and so can only assume that the writer was confusing Essex, CT with an Essex in another state. This school is, and has always been, a warm and nurturing place with a dedicated an highly qualified staff.
this school is horrible. The staff don't know what they are doing and bullying is a huge problem! My son has been there for 2 months and already has two black eyes and a swollen nose!
EES is a great school, I am very appreciative of the education, care and support this school has given my son.
