My daughter goes to this school, I would recommend every parent to have an year with Hudson and see the difference in the your child's skills like Reading, Writing and general aptitude. Teachers works very closely with the child and help them discover their true potential.
My two grandchildren have gone to the school since they were infants. Understandably at first we were nervous about the little ones being in someone else's care. Very quickly though we begin to appreciate what an outstanding facility this school is. Over the years we have never met a teacher, aide or administrator that didn't have the care, safety, social and intellectual growth of the children as their frst priority. As our grandchildren move on to other schools we will miss Hudson Country.
I had two children in the infant/waddler room at Hudson. I cannot say enough about the teachers and the program. The staff went out of their way to make my children and myself comfortable and cared for them like they were their own. I cannot say enough good things about the teachers. They are warm, kind, caring, outgoing, and loving. Everything you want in a caregiver. I am sad to leave Hudson (job change) and have told the staff there leaving my job was difficult but leaving Hudson was harder.
One star is all they deserve. The teachers do not care about the children. They treat kids with no respect but with rudeness and threats. Bullying is happening even in primary classes, my daughter was kicked and punched by a classmate and nothing was done. Verbally kids were telling her she is ugly and her clothes are ugly too. I went to the head of the school, they said they would take care of it, but NOTHING was done. Also, the educational materials are horrific, and the teachers to make things easier for them turn books on tape most of the time. The bathrooms are filthy, my daughter was sick with viruses and bacterial infections all the time. The longest she went was with out an infection was a week.
The elementary school is a joke. The teachers are unqualified a there are basically 6 kids in a class. You are better off with public school. if you are a little about your kids do not send them there.
My son went to Hudson from infancy to kindergarten. He is now 11 and still talks about the great teachers he had there. We are so grateful he had such an amazing beginning to his education. Thank you Hudson!!
Our daughter excelled at HCMS and then in life. They prepared her for problem solving and how to approach challenges. This is truly a fabulous program. Student teacher ratio is unmatched. Parent involvement is over 100% (both parents get involved) True sense of community.
The Quaker Ridge campus differs from North St. The school has had some administrative and teacher turnover at Quaker Ridge Campus. Ed Director is not responsive to parents. Teachers seem overwhelmed. Classes are crowded. Overall the environment and educational value is not worth the money. School needs to lower classroom size, and find a Director who really cares about the children and values parents concerns and feedback.
terrible experience, in particular with pre-school teachers. school feels too regimented and disinterested in individual learning style and difference. would advise looking into other nearby montessori before settling here, if not another setting entirely as there are much better schools in the area.
