I love this school. I've been involved as a volunteer through DSABC for the last 6 years and as an occasional program volunteer through my job at Danbury Senior Center. The major program was an annual event on 18th century life for students studying the Revolutionary War to Civil War periods. I stopped that after my husband's massive stroke in 1997. The teachers, staff and principals, throughout the years, have been very warm and welcoming and treat the adults and students with respect and kindness. I am very comfortable in that school and look forward to many more years of volunteering.
Outstanding staff that care about the children who attend. Not only do they care about the children, it is amazing that they can name all of the children whether or not they have that child in their class. Any problems, they call the parents and discuss it with them right away to solve whatever issue the child is having. Keep up the good work! Also, I can't believe how well the Kindergartners can read! Many of them come out of Kindergarten with skills of a second grader in reading, math, and writing! Fantastic!
