After sending two of my children through this program, I can say I have not seen a better high school to challange and encourage students who want to excell. The students are friendly and accepting of others. The teachers are dedicated.

The community in this school is like no other I've seen. The students are accepting and friendly, to every student. The education is also very good, and everyone feels a strong sense of a family at the IB.

I am a student, and I absolutely love it here thus far, I've been here for four year. It is hard work, but it is rewarded; I would reccommend this for anybody, even slackers.

The Academic programs are great, especially Biology, History and English. Math is relatively weaker. The best thing about the school is the investment teachers make in the lives of their students, and their unremitting committment to academic excellence. This is not for the faint of heart, but for students who are interested in learning and motivated to work hard, it is an incredible educational experience. Music opportunities are quite limited; the art program is stronger. Sports are available throught East Hartford High. Other extracurricular activities include student government, Mock Trial and Model U.N., but all of these are in early stages of development. Parents are involved through a PTA -like organization devoted largely to fund-raising. Clearly there is much to be done here, but this school can restore your faith in meaningful and rigorous public education.
