I am currently a senior at Grasso Tech and I am loving it. I've attended two high schools previous to here and Grasso is where I feel most at home. The teachers really care about the students, and even though the academics aren't exactly rigorous, it's in the shops where you find that the students are hard-working, intelligent, individuals. I am in the Culinary Program, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to pursue Culinary as a career, or even to someone who doesn't want the average high school experience, and maybe wants to learn how to cook. The other shops I cannot speak for but as far as I know they are all doing exceptional things. The music program has taken off the ground recently and is headed for great things. Hopefully in time and with interest Grasso will be able to have it's own Drama Club. The sports teams are also great, though Grasso does not have a Football team. Our Volleyball Team just went to states. I love Grasso most of all because of the feeling of acceptance that you get walking through the halls. It isn't perfect, but you won't feel that cold-shoulder that you do in other schools- where many students think they're all better than you. 5 stars.

My son graduated from the Drafting Shop in 2003 and just completed his masters in Computer Engineering from RPI. My daughter graduated with her Hair Dressing license in 2006, and is now a business major at Endicott College. Grasso did an excellent job in preparing them for college, as well providing them real life job skills.

Most of the teachers are great. The shops are good, but if you're a trouble maker they will crack down on you. If you don't like uniforms and strict rules then don't apply for admission.

Grasso Tech is a very good school for students who want to work in a trade, but at the same time go to college. There is wide selection of shops here and there is one for everybody. So check it out. Don't delay. You'll love your high school experience here.
