I am not impressed with the math curriculum. Very little homework is given to reinforce what is taught. The emphasis seems to be more on getting the correct answer rather than whether or not concepts were understood in arriving at the answer. My daughter's teacher gives me the feeling that i am inconveniencing her by requesting more homework.

I think A. Baldwin Middle School is a very educating school. It has everything from excellent sports programs that have convenient timing,to creativity in arts,to an extravagant selection of music classes. The foreign language class is very creative and also gives the children a great oportunity to learn spanish and french. Those two languages may come in handy when those children hit highschool, college, or university. The feild trips the school plans are not only fun for the kids, but educational and involves many parents who like to volunteer and get involved with their child's education. The teachers there give tons of extra help when they see that their student needs it. They are just as supportive as the helpful parents. This middle school is very safe and has no involvement with violence or drug abuse problem.
