St. Stephen School truly has a family atmosphere. The size of the school, one class for each grade, allows students, parents and teachers to get to know one another. The principal knows the name of every student. The principal is extremely committed to the school; she is a former student, parent and teacher at St. Stephen. The faculty is very experienced and dedicated; there is little turnover. The school community is also very welcoming; new students and families are valued and diversity is considered a strength. St. Stephen tries to educate the whole person. A new library and computer center opened two years ago. In addition to core studies, the school offers extracurricular activities such as sports and music, including a jazz band. Students are also involved in the community; for example, student council members visit local veterans on Veterans Day. My children are getting a very good, well-rounded education.
the inside scoop for this school is it's amazing. the warmth and friendship demonstrated by the staff is welcoming. the dedication and commitment to the students is what every school should emphasize.
