Outstanding education and opportunities. My son is in 7th grade and looks forward to going to school each day. He would attend year round if they'd allow it!

We are very happy with school leadership, teachers are great and very commited to education, It's the best choice for any parent and the student. Very challenging curriculum and students are highly motivated to become leaders. Love this school.

This school is great, there a lot of things to do. The teachers are great and stay after school to help a student if he/she needs help. The have a after school program called compass where the conslers help the students with there homework, they also have this period called rec were the kids could either play games in the gym, go to the computer lab, or do more homework. The band is great they`ve won several awards, we students love it.

Both of my children attend HMMS. They both have enjoyed attending the school. The teachers are very good, the curriculum is challenging in most respects. One of my sons is in 6th grade and he's not very challenged in the math class though. I think there should be an option for students who excell in a subject so they dont become bored. Otherwise its been very enjoyable. The band program is excellent, the instructors are very knowledgeable. They have won numerous awards, the kids love it. They do a drama production every year at the Theater for the Performing Arts next door at the Academy of the Arts. They have art and drama classes next door at the Academy of the Arts such as theater,and humanities. Breakfast and lunch used to be free to all students but now they have to pay .75 for breakfast & 2.00 for lunch.

I went to HMMS for middle school and it really prepared me for high school. the note taking, the amount of work, just the whole package. this is a great school

As a parent, Im extemeley happy that my child attends H.M.M.S. My daughter's first year was great, she had an awesome Homeroom/Reading teacher.(229 Rocks!!) I saw such an improvement in my daughter, within 2-weeks starting school. The classes the school offer to the students is Amazing. Some of the courses, the students choose from are offered in colleges, but here its FREE!! The teachers are Amazing, the student-teacher relationship is Amazing and good to see. Once again the quality of the academic programs are amazing, with awesome teachers, its much better then the public school my daughter recently attended. She LOVES the Hartford Magnet Middle School, and the teachers,staff and the new principle. The principle is on top of everything. I highly recommended this school. I have not stopped to let parents from my daughter's previous school, to make every attempt to apply,apply and attend the Open House.

It's a good school however there could be another period for study hall, because the kids come home with a lot of homework, and projects however it is very challenging

I think that this school has a very rich curriculum and tries it's best to have every student excel well in their school.They have very impressive music programs such as chorus,keyboarding,select chorus ect. They also have visual and graphic arts. They have football,basketball(boys and girls),cheerleading,track and feild,and cross country. Though this school is presently lacking the exhilarating after-school program that they had in the past years, this is the school that actually cares about your child, not just their paycheck! So make the wise decision and choose HMMS!!!

This is a Great School! It has a very creative and challenging academic program. I was happy with the dress code and the code of conduct. This school has one of the best administrations in the district.

This school is ok. I really like lunch its free so I pay a $1.25 to get extra. I don't have any friends either but everyone is really nice.
