I have a 8th grader and a 3rd grader attending the schools (elementary and middle). It is true that AFHA are strict, but highly functional. My grandchildren are two of the best students in CT. You may not like the small stuff that is enforced, but your child will receive the education that they deserve, which will make them better adults. All children need direction in their life. Keep up the great work that you and the fantastic children at this school do. They are the "hardest working students in CT."

Great school! My daughter currently goes here now and before she started kindergarten, she did not know how to read or spell anything. by the time half of the semester was over, she was reading & spelling like crazy! Now she's in first grade & she's reading at a second grade level. There are parents that I know of who are jealous that there kids not attening this school.

Community ratings and reviews do not represent the views of GreatSchools nor does GreatSchools check their accuracy or verify the reviewers' identities. Use your discretion when evaluating these reviews.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

Oops! We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Public and charter school test scores for most states come from the state Department of Education. The most common reasons we might not have this data are either that not enough students took the test or that the school was recently opened, and its scores have not yet been reported.
