My daughter is having an incredible experience at Hotchkiss. The quality of the teaching and her peer group is incredibly good. She has tried and become interested in subjects and extracurriculars that she never would have discovered otherwise. We have received a very generous financial aid package as well. The invited speakers are inspiring and the setting is breathtaking...I could go on and on! I am so happy that my daughter is having such a great experience and I would encourage anyone looking at New England prep schools to look at Hotchkiss.

Words cannot capture the feeling we have as parents of two former students at The Hotchkiss School. This is an incredibly nurturing, close-knit and diverse community with an academic pedigree that's rare not only in this country, but worldwide. The bucolic setting and physical facilities are extraordinary. Our children emerged from Hotchkiss as young adults who were exceptionally prepared to tackle the next chapter of their lives, and more importantly, give of themselves to others.

Our son graduated in 2007. Hotchkiss is a truly wonderful institution. Our son enjoyed amazing teachers, fantastic facilities, great peers and manifold opportunities. Hotchkiss provided us with a large financial aid package. Hotchkiss even provided financial aid to help our son travel abroad during the summer through their Fund for Global Understanding. The school had amazing guest speakers, travel opportunities, chances for personal growth, and guidance for students. As parents we were always welcomed with open arms when we visited campus. The dining hall is always open to visiting parents. Teachers and our son's advisor always responded quickly when we reached out to them. Head of school, Skip Mattoon and his wife, Lyn were marvelous and great role models. We understand the new head, Malcom McKensie is in the same mold. We love Hotchkiss and although our son has graduated, we will always be part of the Hotchkiss family.

This is an absolutely fantastic institution of learning. There is a terrific interaction between the students and their teachers. Very small class size. Respect and listening to each other is very important at this school.
